Industrial Property Brokers Facilitates Hock’s Pharmacy Expansion with Piqua Building Acquisition

Piqua, Ohio (May 24, 2018)Industrial Property Brokers Principal Tim Echemann, SIOR, CCIM, announced that his firm has facilitated a building acquisition in Piqua by Hock’s Pharmacy, which will add a new location to its business at 649 High Street.

Based in Vandalia, Hock’s Pharmacy is a family owned pharmacy and since 1948 has steadfastly remained independent in an industry where a large percent of all pharmacies in the state are operated by the likes of CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens. The pharmacy’s success has been built around the patient-pharmacist relationship with a local community member who will take the time to help patients understand their medications and overall health needs.

Jeff Bartone, President of Hock’s Pharmacy stated that he wanted to expand to Piqua because it’s a great community that could benefit from services provided by a family owned pharmacy.

 “We offer many services such as Hock’s MultiPack, Hock’s RxSync, and free prescription delivery.” He added that the company currently does not have any other plans to expand. “However, we are always looking for opportunities to serve great communities around the area.”

The pharmacy plans to hire four or five employees for its new Piqua location plus a delivery driver.

“The building was formerly occupied by an independent pharmacy and the new owners will have plenty of goodwill from the community,” reported Tim Echemann. “The building is the perfect scenario for the new owners,” he added.

“We are very pleased that Hock’s Pharmacy has acquired the building and is going to continue operating a retail pharmacy at the property,” said Piqua City Manager Gary Huff.

Echemann was the only broker involved in the sale. The sale price was not disclosed.
